New-estate land is often built-up fill, and the ground classification can vary from lot to lot, so a soil test is the starting point for every house slab here. We design each house slab to AS 2870 for the actual site classification rather than assuming the estate is all the same. That is how you avoid the corner cracking that shows up on fill sites poured without proper engineering.
